It's week two of the Florida Swing, and the purse has increased for this week's Signature Event: the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational. This is a special week as Bay Hill is as close to a major championship venue as any on the PGA Tour. It's a long and difficult golf course that does a great job of separating the best players from tee to green in the field.

Controlling the golf ball into these extremely firm greens is imperative, and Bay Hill also demands that players chip and putt above average. Let's take a look at a few selections to click in your Arnold Palmer Invitational One and Done pools.

Rory McIlroy +900

If you are saving Rory for a major, I would ask,"why?" McIlroy has drastically underperformed in majors the last few seasons, and this week receives elevated pay! These Signature Events are extremely important to capitalize on in terms of One and Done.

McIlroy has nearly flawless course history at Bay Hill, which includes a win and multiple top-five finishes around his victory. He is a generational driver of the golf ball, and he can unleash the big stick a ton around Bay Hill.

Part of the reason he has had so much success at Bay Hill is because of the apex height on his iron shots into greens. Since these putting surfaces are so firm, the steeper the angle the ball approaches with, the easier it lands. Over 72 holes, that alone will have McIlroy holding more greens than the rest of the field.

He is very confident around Bay Hill, and the game is looking a little better by the week. He is a great click with a very high floor.

Xander Schauffele +1600

Schauffele makes sense every single week, and it always comes down to answering if we really want to wager hard earned United States Dollars on Xander Schauffele.

I believe he is a great One and Done pick for multiple reasons. He is a golfer who will get out fast and be around the lead on Thursday then disappoint when the pressure is on. His other path for success is he will be slow out the gates and backdoor a T3 finish when he is all but out of contention.

Both of these work tremendously in the One and Done format because his floor is so high, and four of his last five events have resulted in top-10 finishes. His course history around Bay Hill is nothing special, which will keep his ownership down. Schauffele is a great selection for One and Done every single week, and with the payouts being boosted this week, he is an even better selection.

Emiliano Grillo +10000

Remember when Luke List popped up somewhat out of nowhere at The Genesis Invitational? I believe Grillo can be that golfer this week. They both have gained double-digit strokes ball-striking and lost nearly all of it on the putting surfaces in the year prior.

Grillo striped the ball around Bay Hill last season as he gained over 10 strokes ball-striking. Looking deeper into his course history, his only fault was a DQ a few years back. Outside of that, he has never missed a cut. I am very high on Grillo in 2024 as a whole, and I believe he is in for a win in 2024.

He is a pick who will help you get different in your pools, and if he pays off, it will be an excellent reward.
