Grillo comes into Shinnecock as hot as anyone on tour, having made all 13 of his cuts in 2018. In fact, he hasn’t missed a weekend since last August. He has six top-10 finishes during that time and hasn’t shown a weakness in any part of his game in a while. Over his past four events specifically, he’s hit 70.2% of greens and 71.0% of fairways. That accuracy and ball-striking will certainly come in handy at a U.S. Open event, although he might lack the elite distance with his driver to really contend all four days here. Still, he’s a very nice value in DFS and should be safe to make the cut.
Here’s how Grillo ranks in the U.S. Open field in several key metrics. For many more, be sure to check out the FantasyLabs PGA Models.
