  • Steph and Dell Curry had a friendly golf wager during the American Century Championship.
  • They set the line at Steph -20 points over Dell. Loser would jump in Lake Tahoe after the event.
  • Steph almost pulled off a miracle win, grazing the flagstick from 115 yards, but Dell narrowly edged out his son.

Golf and betting go together like Steph Curry and 3s from the tunnel.

And betting on golf with your dad? It's downright un-American to pass up on that kind of action.

Steph and his pops, Dell, seem to agree, if their weekend festivities are any indication. The two played in the American Century Championship, a who's who celebrity golf tournament hosted annually in Lake Tahoe.

The line: Steph -20 points over Dell. (The younger Curry is a scratch golfer).

The stakes: Loser jumps in Lake Tahoe.

Steph finished in 11th place with 50 points, 21 behind winner Tony Romo and just 18 more than his 54-year-old father.

The bet wasn't without its fair share of drama, though. Steph stepped on the 18th tee needing a birdie on the par 5 to win. So what's he do? Hit it out of bounds, obviously.

Oof.

But wait. We ain't done yet. Steph gave himself a chance to pull off a miracle, needing to hole a 115-yard wedge to send ole Dell swimmin'.

And, because he's Steph freaking Curry, he almost jarred it, grazing the flagstick for good measure.
