Rangers vs Orioles Picks
Zerillo projects 8.97 runs for this game, while the market sits at Over 8.5 with low juice. That provides close to a 3% edge over the current consensus line.
The weather report is calling for double-digit winds out toward the short right-field fence and temperatures in the mid-80s. That should significantly increase the run-scoring environment at Camden Yards this afternoon — BallParkPal projects a +9% Runs Factor for this game.
I don't entirely trust Trevor Rogers yet. He threw seven innings of shutout ball against the Twins in his 2025 debut, but behind five strikeouts to four walks (4.97 xFIP). He's a soft-tossing lefty who relies on his fastball while giving up loads of hard contact (48% hard-hit rate allowed last season). He could get touched up by an always-tough Rangers lineup.
Meanwhile, the Phillies shelled Nathan Eovaldi in his 2025 debut, putting up five runs across four innings. He's due for plenty of positive regression, considering he struck out seven with no walks. Still, he's had some problems with the long ball in his career, as the Phils took him deep twice in that game. He's also had some problems getting out lefties (.510 wOBA allowed last season).
Today could be a good day for right-field homers at Oriole Park, so watch out for the Baltimore southpaws in the lineup (Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman, Samuel Basallo, Tyler O'Neill).
Pick: Over 8.5 (-105 or Better)
