NBA Finals Betting Market: Early Money Tilted Towards Warriors Over Celtics

At BetMGM, 13 percent of bets and 22 percent of dollars are on the Warriors to win the title. At PointsBet, 16 percent of bets are on the Warriors, more than any other team.

The Celtics have eight percent of bets at PointsBet compared to nine percent at BetMGM.

In series-specific markets, 67 percent of bets and 87 percent of handle are on the Warriors, per data released by PointsBet.

The confidence doesn't stop with just the series. Bettors are hammering Golden State at home in Game 1 on Thursday.

The Warriors are a 3.5-point favorite. Over 90 percent of the money bet on the game so far is on Golden State to cover the spread. With a total of 210.5, 80 percent of dollars bet are on the over, according to BetMGM.

The Warriors will enter with a rest and experience advantage. The core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green has already won three NBA titles together. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Al Horford and Co. are playing in their first.

Boston's series against the Miami Heat went the full seven games, concluding on Sunday. Golden State eliminated the Dallas Mavericks in five games. That series ended on May 26.
