Alabama Basketball

Alabama comes into this matchup as winners of eight in a row after its road win at Tennessee.

The Crimson Tide have the third most efficient offense in college basketball, and it's continued during their winning streak, thanks to their 58.4% effective field goal percentage.

When you look at the Duke, Michigan, Arizona and Florida's of the world, you see them winning games due to their dominance scoring in the paint.

With this Alabama team, it's been aggressive all season in shooting the 3-pointer, with 54.1% of its field goal attempts coming from deep. During the Tide's current eight-game winning streak, that number is bumped even higher at 56.3%.

Labaron Philon Jr. and Aden Holloway headline the explosive offensive attack, and where they do most of their damage is out of the pick-and-roll, whether it's scoring immediately off the screen or relocating for a spot-up shot after passing out of the action.

Coming into this game, 49% of the time Philon is the ball-handler out of the two-man game and is shooting 51% from the field, including 41% from 3.

For Holloway, he's in the 95th percentile in points per possession out of the pick-and-roll, averaging 1.130 PPP. He's also shooting 51% from the field and 41% from 3-pointer.

Georgia Basketball

Georgia has now won 20 games in three straight seasons after its 87-68 win against South Carolina.

The Bulldogs play at a top-25 tempo and love to get out and score in transition. This season, Georgia leads all SEC teams in fast break points (20.3 on average).

Jeremiah Wilkinson is the straw that stirs the drink for this team and his ability to create high percentage shots have stood out this season. Wilkinson is shooting 56% from the field and 45.5% from downtown, with a turnover rate of only 8% in transition.

He's also showed a tendency to be a reliable shooter off of a catch-and-shoot jumper, hitting 38.5% on 135 attempts.

For the month of February, Marcus "Smurf" Millender has done an outstanding job at taking care of the basketball. In those six games, he has a total of 38 assists to six turnovers (6.3 Assist/TO Ratio).

Millender has proven to execute half-court sets with his timely passing and has proven to be a playmaker due to his penetration inside the paint that leads to lobs to his big men or kick-out 3s.

Alabama vs. Georgia Betting Analysis

Both of these teams love to push the tempo and both teams have a top-10 efficient offense since February 4.

Georgia is the best at scoring in transition in the SEC. Its 1.188 points per possession puts it in the 91st percentile, while Alabama is graded in the 28th percentile on transition defense and allowing 1.096 PPP, via Synergy.

As good as both offenses have been playing, both defenses have proven to be inconsistent.

In Georgia's last seven games it's 315th in defensive effective field goal percentage (56%), while Alabama has a defensive turnover rate at 10.3% (363rd) during its eight-game winning streak.

At the end of the day, Georgia should cause problems in transition against Alabama, while Alabama's guards will have an advantage against Georgia out of its pick-and-roll offense.

My Pick: Over 178
