College Football Week 6 Bowl Projections: Brett McMurphy’s Predictions With Projected Spreads

College Football Week 6 Bowl Projections: Brett McMurphy’s Predictions With Projected Spreads article feature image

Sam Hartman likely won’t win the Heisman Trophy, but Notre Dame’s quarterback put the Fighting Irish in position for a monster New Year’s Six bowl payday.

Hartman’s successful fourth-and-16 scramble rallied Notre Dame past Duke, 21-14, on Saturday.

It also very much kept alive Notre Dame’s New Year’s Six bowl hopes. The Irish (5-1) still must play at No. 25 Louisville Saturday and host No. 9 USC the following week. In November, Clemson also could present a challenge.

If Notre Dame wins out, it would be in College Football Playoff contention, but a 10-2 finish would still likely keep the Irish in the top 12 of CFP rankings. That's why in my Week 6 bowl projections, I have Notre Dame in a New Year’s Six bowl (Peach vs. Alabama).

Here are my full Week 6 projections — and each projection includes the projected point spread for each bowl based on Action Network senior writer Collin Wilson’s updated college football betting power ratings.
