Kentucky Wildcats Betting Preview: Wildcats Take to the Air

It has been a rough go of it for the Kentucky Wildcats, who come into this matchup losers of four straight. However, their most recent loss may have been the most encouraging after racking up 34 points.

While they still had a 22-point deficit in the loss to Tennessee, the biggest takeaway was the performance of quarterback Cutter Boley.

Boley had struggled mightily this season, but he threw for 330 yards and five touchdowns on just 35 attempts. It was without a doubt his best performance of the season, and it should carry over to this matchup.

Auburn's secondary has been susceptible, ranking 91st in yards per pass allowed and 73rd in opponent completion percentage.

The Tigers' defensive line could cause Havoc early, but this is another game script where the Wildcats will be trailing, and it will be up to Boley to fire back on the scoreboard.

Auburn Tigers Betting Preview: Offense on the Rise

Much like the Wildcats, the conference schedule hasn't been too kind to the Auburn Tigers. However, they snapped their four-game losing streak with a win over Arkansas last week.

Although a quarterback change has sparked some debate amongst the Auburn faithful, Ashton Daniels came in relief of Jackson Arnold and looked solid, going 6-of-8 through the air for 77 yards while adding 35 yards on the ground.

While his stats came against a horrid Arkansas defense, Kentucky's secondary hasn't been spectacular either. The Wildcats rank 125th in yards per pass allowed and 53rd in opponent completion percentage.

If Daniels gets the start, look for him to provide an immediate boost to the Tigers offense.

Kentucky vs Auburn Pick, Betting Analysis

This total has dropped since opening nearly a field goal higher. On paper, the move makes sense, as two rush-heavy offenses are facing two solid rush defenses.

However, the passing games are the X-factor, and each is being overlooked.

Neither team's secondary has looked good this season, which should lead to an increased number of passing attempts from both sides. Both Boley and Daniels are trending up, and that should translate to the scoreboard this week.

Take the over.

Pick: Over 44.5 (Play to 46.5)
