BetMGM Michigan has introduced a new optional jackpot feature that gives online casino players extra chances to win across more than 200 eligible games. Called BetMGM Jackpots, the feature uses a $0.10 SideBet to connect players to four progressive prize pools, including a Mega Jackpot that starts at $500,000.
The launch adds another layer to the BetMGM Michigan online casino experience without changing the outcome of the original casino game. Players can choose whether to activate the SideBet feature while playing participating titles.
The news comes on the heels of a strong Q2 report. The company also recently launched games built around the hit reality television show "Survivor" and a Richard Childress racing game.
It's what makes BetMGM one of the top online casinos in Michigan.
How BetMGM Jackpots Works
BetMGM Jackpots is an opt-in progressive jackpot system available on a growing list of casino games. When a player turns on the feature, they can make a fixed $0.10 SideBet alongside qualifying wagers.
Each eligible SideBet creates a chance to trigger one of four jackpot levels:
- Mini Jackpot: Starts at $100
- Minor Jackpot: Starts at $6,000
- Major Jackpot: Starts at $30,000
- Mega Jackpot: Starts at $500,000
The Mega prize pool had already grown beyond $618,000 at the time of the announcement. Because it is progressive, the amount can continue rising as more players participate across the connected game network.
A Shared Jackpot Network
The BetMGM Michigan jackpot pools are shared among eligible games rather than being tied to one specific slot or casino title. That means every qualifying $0.10 SideBet helps fund the same progressive prizes.
As players across the network opt in and place qualifying wagers, the Mini, Minor, Major, and Mega jackpot totals increase. A jackpot remains active until a qualifying win triggers it.
BetMGM has also added a dedicated jackpot interface where players can:
- View casino games that support the SideBet feature
- Check live jackpot values
- Review recent jackpot winners
- Turn the feature on or off
More participating games are expected to be added over time.
Optional Feature Does Not Change Game Results
The SideBet is completely optional. Players can activate or disable it from the BetMGM Casino homepage, promotion settings, or directly inside supported games.
Importantly, choosing the SideBet does not affect the result of the underlying casino game. A spin, hand, or other game result is still determined separately under that game’s normal rules. The SideBet simply adds an additional jackpot opportunity to qualifying wagers.
BetMGM Michigan Expands Its Casino Offering
BetMGM said the new product is part of its larger effort to improve its iGaming offering through new features and player experiences. Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s vice president of gaming, described SideBet Jackpots as a way to give customers more ways to engage with the online casino catalog.
For Michigan players, the biggest draw may be the chance to pursue a six-figure progressive jackpot while playing from a selection of more than 200 casino games. Still, players should review the terms for each eligible game and treat the SideBet as optional entertainment spending.
BetMGM plans to bring SideBet Jackpots to additional regulated markets during the summer and fall, pending regulatory approval.
