Monday Night Football Prediction: Eagles win by 5+ (Yes, 50¢ to 51¢)
The quarterback situation is the starting point. Caleb Williams is out with a Grade 2 hamstring strain, while Tyson Bagent cleared concussion protocol Sunday but isn't expected to start. That leaves Keenum, a 38-year-old quarterback who opened the season third on Chicago's depth chart and hasn't started an NFL game since Christmas Eve 2023.
Chicago's best response is to lean on the run. D'Andre Swift has 169 rushing yards through two games, while Kyle Monangai gives the Bears another option out of the backfield. Expect plenty of both, along with short throws designed to keep Keenum out of obvious passing situations.
That approach becomes much harder if Philadelphia gets ahead. The Eagles have been capable of generating explosive plays, while Chicago has struggled to prevent them. A productive rushing attack can shorten the game, but it becomes less useful if the Bears fall behind and have to ask Keenum to throw his way back into it.
Philadelphia has its own issues. Jalen Hurts took three sacks and six hits against Tennessee, the rushing attack averaged only 2.8 yards per carry, and Dallas Goedert and Hollywood Brown are out. The Eagles still found a way to win by converting 11 of 18 third downs.
That ability to sustain drives matters against a Chicago offense that may struggle to do the same. Philadelphia also has yet to force a takeaway, while Keenum threw two interceptions in his last NFL start. One short field could be enough to create the margin needed for this contract.
At roughly 50¢ to 51¢, Eagles to win by 5+ offers a much cheaper entry than paying the mid-to-high 60s for Philadelphia simply to win. The extra requirement is manageable in a matchup where Chicago may have difficulty generating offense if it falls behind.
