Boston has a real path to the upset because Tolle has already shown he can handle this lineup. The question is whether the Red Sox can maintain that advantage once the game moves into the middle and late innings.

This is where I give New York its clearest advantage.
The Yankees enter with more dependable late-inning options, including Carlos Rodón, who has posted a 1.89 ERA in relief since returning in August.
Boston has more uncertainty. Garrett Crochet hasn't pitched since April and his roster status remains unclear, while Tyron Guerrero is on the injured list.
If Tolle and Schlittler keep the game tight through five or six innings, New York has more reliable options to cover the remaining outs.

3. Which Lineup Creates the Big Hit?
Aaron Judge's availability remains a major variable after an injury-shortened season, but New York still has other ways to generate offense.
Cody Bellinger closed the regular season with three home runs over his final four games and hit .412 with runners in scoring position across his last 72 contests.
Boston gets a boost from Roman Anthony's return, but the Red Sox finished with a 94 wRC+ on the road and a 91 mark over the final month.
Tolle may give Boston the early pitching advantage, but New York has more lineup depth to lean on if the game stays close.
