We are two weeks into the NFL season, which means the injuries are starting to pile up. Luckily for bettors, the Fanatics Sportsbook's Fair Play policy has reduced some of that impact. Fanatics Fair Play has topped $50 million all-time, including the most expensive individual payout ever, for Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore.
Besides Moore, Week 2 saw several big names go down, some more serious than others, but we're thankful for the Caleb Williams memes. Fanatics handed out a total of $5.4 million in FanCash over 17 payouts in Week 2, for both first-half exits and forward progress.
Moore's exit cost the sportsbook a record $3.9 million, bringing the 2026 total to nearly 22 million.
Fanatics Fair Play policy states that if a player exits a game due to injury — and is ruled out for the remainder of the game — the sportsbook will refund straight player prop bets and void the legs of same-game parlays involving the injured player. Those SGPs then pay out with recalculated odds.
Remember, the Fair Play policy isn't just activated for injuries. There were also a pair of notable Forward Progress instances in Week 2 that were triggered by some late-game quarterback kneel-downs.
Josh Allen's 70+ rushing yards paid out as a winner as the Bills closed out their shootout victory over the Detroit Lions, and so too did Drake Maye's 20+ rushing yards in the New England Patriots' win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, despite both falling under those numbers.
Another week of NFL action showed how Fanatics Fair Play will be a valuable resource for football bettors this season.
