Another week of NFL action meant another massive payout for football bettors, thanks to the Fanatics Sportsbook Fair Play policy.
Week 3 saw more than $1.5 million returned to users, headlined by nearly $750,000 in payouts following Minnesota Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson's early exit.
First-Half Injury Protection & Second-Half Tokens
Jefferson left Sunday’s 23-16 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after suffering an ankle injury on the Vikings' opening drive, triggering Fanatics' automatic first-half protection.
His exit was one of nine first-half injury triggers in Week 3, ultimately benefiting 62,000 users with $1.3 million in payouts.
However, the policy's coverage doesn't end at halftime — through the Fair Play Max program, bettors who applied a 2nd Half Protection Token extended their player prop injury safety net into the final two quarters. Six second-half injury instances triggered this coverage in Week 3, resulting in $62,000 distributed in FanCash.
Additionally, Fanatics issued Goodwill payouts to nearly 3,000 users who had not applied a token but were still impacted by second-half exits, totaling over $300,000 in FanCash.
Forward Progress Safeguards
Beyond injury protection, the Fair Play policy safeguards wagers against late-game statistical losses through Forward Progress protection. This feature protects "Over" prop bets from being erased by quarterback kneel-downs or late negative-yardage carries.
In Week 3 alone, Forward Progress protection was triggered 14 times, saving $63,000 for nearly 4,500 users.
As long as the NFL season continues, the Fanatics Fair Play policy remains one of the most valuable safety-net resources available to football bettors.
