A Bears’ Upset in the Making?
Even factoring in the injuries and the loss of key players on the Bears' side, the moneyline odds look a bit overhyped toward the Eagles. While they managed two big wins, both came by narrow margins and without showing consistent offensive firepower or a solid defense.
Philadelphia's biggest structural red flag has been the run defense. They have surrendered 254 rushing yards on the ground, ranking 24th in the league. Opposing offenses have managed to stay ahead of the chains by exploiting gaps in the front seven, placing heavy pressure on the secondary and linebackers to step up in run support.
The big question is whether that defense can contain Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift. Much of that hinges on Keenum's execution, and we should know fairly quickly which trajectory this game will take.
It might sound like too risky of an approach, but the Bears have what it takes to pull off an upset tonight. Backing them at just 35 cents looks like a steal.
Target Low Totals
One of the most intriguing angles to trade in this matchup is the Totals market, mostly because the current state of both teams leaves several question marks surrounding their offensive horsepower and their ability to turn this NFC clash into a high-scoring shootout.
It is clear that the Bears took the biggest hit with the loss of Caleb Williams. They started the regular season with a massive 59-37 victory on the road against Carolina, and the offense dominated on the ground with 291 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. However, I think Keenum may be cooking something special for tonight's game.
As for Philadelphia, they have yet to find the offensive rhythm their fan base is looking for, though it was still enough to secure a pair of victories over Washington and Tennessee.
With all this in mind, it is hard to picture a high-scoring affair. The Under 41.5 line stands out as the most solid play.
What About the Players?
D'Andre Swift is an intriguing player to watch tonight. If everything breaks right for the Bears, the Swift-Keenum connection could prove lethal. That is why backing Chicago’s running back to cover Over 69.5 Rushing Yards and Over 19.5 Receiving Yards is worth a look.
On the other hand, Dontayvion Wicks has been one of the Eagles' standout additions for this season, and so far the former Packers wide receiver has proven his worth on the field.
