For my top Seahawks vs. Commanders NFL PrizePicks and Underdog plays, I’m highlighting Jayden Daniels, Tory Horton, and Jaylin Lane.
The Commanders are a team that is dedicated to running the ball. They've done so at the 10th-highest rate in football this season, and their rush rate only goes up in the red zone.
In his five games played this season, Jayden Daniels has compiled just 13 red-zone pass attempts. That is an average of 2.6 per game.
Now, Daniels has thrown eight touchdown passes this season, but it's clear they've come on big plays.
From a volume and probability perspective, taking him to stay below 1.5 is a strong play.
Next, we switch sides and focus on Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton.
Horton's opportunities in this matchup are a big question mark that depends on the health of Cooper Kupp.
Kupp is questionable to play in this game, and judging by his practice log this week, he may be closer to doubtful. Kupp's absence would mean Horton is the No. 2 wide receiver and is set for an increased role.
However, the situation has begun to overinflate his receiving yards line.
Horton has not been a high-volume target for Sam Darnold this season, as he's averaged just 2.6 per game.
In addition, they've had a disconnect, as Horton has only a 50 percent catch rate. There's too much uncertainty around Horton not to fade him as he's only gone over this total once this season.
Above, I broke down how Jayden Daniels' passing touchdowns have come on big plays — the Commanders rarely throw the ball in the red zone.
Well, with Terry McLaurin out (again), the man in line to make a big splash is Jaylin Lane.
Lane has quickly ascended to third on the team in targets and has already proven he can stretch the field by making catches of 35 and 37 yards the last time we saw Daniels under center.
Don't let the price fool you, Lane is more than a dart throw to find paydirt tonight.
