Sunday Night Football in Week 6 showcases a marquee matchup as the Lions take on the Chiefs under the primetime spotlight.
For my top Lions vs. Chiefs NFL PrizePicks and Underdog plays, I’m highlighting Jahmyr Gibbs, Isiah Pacheco, and Xavier Worthy.
Gibbs is a weapon out of the backfield as a receiver, but we've seen his target share diminish during the Lions' four-game winning streak. Over the last four games, Gibbs has averaged just about four targets per game.
He has a 96 percent catch rate, so if he receives an average amount of targets, he's likely to exceed this total.
However, the Lions leading this game for a majority of the way is a real possibility.
Gibbs has gone below this total in three of the four Lions' wins. He's not utilized as a receiver when the Lions are winning.
Take the value here as Gibbs is likely to be far more used on the ground in this matchup.
Isiah Pacheco is the odd man out of the Chiefs' offense in this matchup, as he's already the second guy up in a rushing time share with Kareem Hunt and is now losing receiving work to rookie Brashard Smith.
Pacheco's only role in this matchup is as an early-down back, and the Chiefs' early down rushing attempts may be minimized if the Chiefs are trailing.
We've seen Pacheco average only 7.8 rush attempts this season, and given how things are trending, seven carries appear to be Pacheco's ceiling in this matchup.
Let's give our odds a boost for the final play of our PrizePicks/Underdogs plays with a touchdown scorer.
This game has a high total that increased during the week, and Patrick Mahomes is a heavy favorite to have at least two passing touchdowns.
Xavier Worthy stands out as a touchdown target tonight because of the many ways that he can find the end zone. He is not a typical red-zone target for the Chiefs, as he's garnered just one red-zone target through two games, but we've seen him utilized in end-arounds and tap passes in short-yardage situations.
He also possesses big-play ability, and we saw the Lions struggle to contain Ja'Marr Chase in last week's matchup against the Bengals.
While Worthy is far from the same level of receiver, his speed is elite, and the Lions are not immune to giving up big passing plays.
