Kraken vs. Flames Prediction

The Calgary Flames host the Seattle Kraken in their respective season openers. Both Pacific Division foes are looking to bounce back after missing the playoffs last season. The Kraken finished the year 34-37-11 and two points higher in the standings over the Flames, who went 34-39-9.

The Flames are still in the middle of a rebuild and don't have a ton of expectations heading into the season. Which also means they have some decisions to make about current members of the roster, including center Morgan Frost.

The 27-year-old is heading into the final year of his current deal and is coming off a career year, scoring 22 goals and 43 points. That said, he still took just 1.71 shots on goal per game in 2025-26.

Seattle wasn't a great defensive team last season by any means, but this shots-on-goal total is too elevated in what should be a tight battle.

Best Bet: Morgan Frost Under 2.5 Shots On Goal (-150, DraftKings)
