We are now less than six months away from the 2024 Presidential Election in the United States, and business between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is picking up as we get closer and closer to November. As of today, Trump is the favorite to win the 2024 presidential election at -120, with a predicted chance to win the election of 49.87%. Biden is +145, a 37.31% chance to win reelection.

On Wednesday, the current president and the former president went head-to-head on social media, challenging each other to a series of debates.

Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then, he hasn’t shown up for a debate.

Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again.

So, that's where we are! At least for now, as things can change quickly when it comes to this year's race for the presidency. And that's also true in the 2024 presidential election odds, which have moved for the first time in a few weeks.

For most of April and into the first week of May, Trump and Biden were at -105 and +120 odds respectively to win this year's presidential election, the closest the race has been since August of 2023, when news of Trump's first indictment broke. However, in the past week, Trump's odds have improved to -120, the best his chances to win the presidency have been since March, when he was -125 and had an over 50% chance to win the election.

Interestingly, the odds on who will be the 2024 Republican vice-presidential nominee are currently off the board. Most recently, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott was the favorite to be Trump's running mate at +300, although Ohio Senator JD Vance's name has been mentioned as being near the top of Trump's short list after a fundraiser in Ohio on Wednesday and Vance's surprise appearance to support Trump during his appearance in court.
