More drama is sure to be in the Champions League cards Tuesday when Paris Saint-Germain squares off against RB Leipzig in the semifinal round of the tournament.

Like recent knockout-stage matches, this showdown will also take place in Portugal, this time at Estádio da Luz in Lisbon. The winner advances to the championship, where it will face Bayern Munich or Lyon for the crown and title of Europe's best club.

Paris Saint-Germain enters this match fresh off a stunning, come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Italian side Atalanta in the quarterfinal round of the competition. The French juggernaut received two late goals to secure the win and earn the right to face an RB Leipzig side that pulled off a stunning 2-1 triumph against Spanish power Atlético Madrid. United States international Tyler Adams came off the bench to score the game winner in the waning moments of that match, vaulting the upstart German side into the semifinal round.

According to the data at FiveThirtyEight, PSG has a slight edge over RB Leipzig when it comes to potentially winning the Champions League title via its Soccer Power Index numbers. The French outfit has an 89.4 overall SPI number, which is just ahead of its German counterpart (86.0 points) in the overall rankings.

That same block of data shows PSG having a 59 percent chance of reaching the championship and 24% shot at winning the crown. In contrast, RB Leipzig is well behind its opponent with a 41% chance of making the final and 14 percent chance to win it all.

If you’re looking for a momentum angle, you are really splitting hairs when it comes to these clubs. Both teams have to feel a sense of confidence after staving off elimination in the quarterfinal round, so I don’t think either side has an emotional advantage in this contest.

That said, I am backing both teams to score as my top play. Paris Saint-Germain has too many offensive weapons to be silenced, especially with the projected return of Kylian Mbappe to its starting lineup. On the other side, RB Leipzig was still able to break down the beyond stingy Atlético Madrid defense on the counter to find the back of the net twice in the upset.

I will also sprinkle a little on the total going over the number. I wouldn’t take more than the -175 that’s out there across global sportsbooks, so I recommend shopping around for a number. Personally, I would sit tight and make this a live wager if you’re willing to risk an early goal not happening.

If you’re looking for a side, I would lean toward PSG. Les Parisiens have just too much firepower on the attack and will cause issues galore in RB Leipzig’s defensive third of the pitch.

The Bets: Total Over 2.5 Goals (-175) | Both Teams To Score – Yes (-175)
