  • Barcelona have extended their lead at the top of La Liga to ten points over Atletico Madrid and twelve points over Real Madrid.
  • Bettors are backing Barcelona and Real Madrid as heavy favorites this weekend, but sharp action is going against Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona are well on their way to a La Liga title, but more than half the teams are within striking distance of a coveted Champions League and Europa League spot for next season.

Here's a look at look the title race, relegation battle and Week 29 betting market breakdown for La Liga this weekend.

Spain La Liga Betting Odds

Title Race

Barcelona's lead at the top of the table is now 10 points over second-place Atletico Madrid, who lost 2-0 to Athletic Bilbao in Week 27. Real Madrid are still lurking in third-place and sit 12 points behind the leaders, but they're done playing both clubs ahead of them and will need a lot of good fortune to go their way.

With just 10 matches left in the season, Barcelona are now -15000 favorites to win the title ($150 to make $1). Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are each 50-1 underdogs to pull off a miraculous comeback ($1 to make $50).

Before the season started, Barcelona were available at -125, followed by Real Madrid (+135) and Atletico Madrid (+1000).

Relegation Battle

No clubs are truly buried yet, but Huesca (-1600) and Rayo Vallecano (-800) are big favorites to be relegated, followed by Celta Vigo (-150), Valladolid (+200), Levante (+500) and Villarreal (+500).

Celta Vigo and Villarreal will meet in a critical matchup this Saturday with identical +170 odds on both sides to win.

If you're rooting for chaos at the bottom of the table for the rest of the season, you'll want Celta Vigo to take all three points.

Week 29 Betting Market Breakdown

The most notable action this weekend has come in on both Alaves (+450 to +415) and the draw (+265 to +250) against Atletico Madrid. Sharp money feels confident that Atletico will slip up again, and Alaves have quietly moved into the fifth.

A victory from Alaves would also see them move into fourth if Getafe drop any points against Leganes on Saturday morning. They haven't lost in six consecutive matches but casual bettors seem to be ignoring their good form.

In fact, there's been sharp line movement toward the underdog in all four matches where the over/under is just 2 goals: Alaves-Atletico Madrid, Getafe-Leganes, Girona-Atletico Bilbao and Valladolid-Sociedad.

Value Plays

  • Alaves +0.5 (+110) vs. Atletico Madrid
  • Getafe-Leganes Draw (+225)
  • Rayo Vallecano-Real Betis Draw (+265)
