With only three of the top-20 ranked players in the world participating at this week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, bettors are looking away from the top for their PGA TOUR picks.

Patrick Cantlay is the favorite, and there was some notable movement following the withdrawal by Will Zalatoris. But the most popular players this week are all at least +2000.

According to data released by BetMGM on Wednesday, Maverick McNealy, Justin Rose and Jason Day are the three most popular plays and three largest liabilities for the sportsbook.

McNealy is the top liability, as the 26-year-old Californian searches for his first professional win. Down from +2800 to +2200, over 10% of all outright dollars in the market are on McNealy to win at Pebble Beach. He finished second to Daniel Berger a year ago at this same tournament.

Berger withdrew on Wednesday with a back injury.

Another player with solid course history — and recent form to boot — is Day. Day had the lead on Sunday for a brief moment and had people thinking it was 2015 once again.

Bettors would take the 2018 version of Day, which is the last time he won a PGA TOUR event. At +2000, Day is second in bets and third in handle .

Rose also played well last week finishing T6. In a light field, he's second in dollars taken to win the tournament at +2500.

If there's a favorite who bettors like this week, it's Spieth. He's taken the third-most bets and that number could go up with Berger officially out. His odds have dropped to +1600.
