  • Eight consecutive Major League Baseball prop bets that have been winners?
  • That's the case with analyst Tanner McGrath, who has just one featured pick on Sunday's card.
  • Check out below why he likes Detroit pitcher Tarik Skubal to shine against Kansas City.

Following Friday’s edition, this article has now hit on eight consecutive Major League Baseball player prop bets. We've delivered 11 winners of our last 13 selections as well.

After taking a good, long look at Sunday's pitching matchups using the Action Labs Player Prop tool, there’s just one strikeout total I’m targeting on the card.

Our Action tool grades each prop on a scale from 1-10, and I’ll be sure to include the grade below my explanation.

Skubal’s numbers are just a tad inflated from April, where he managed six appearances with an ERA over 6.00 and a WHIP approaching 1.75. However, Skubal has proved to Detroit — at the least — that he’s a very intriguing young arm.

Since May 1, Skubal has made 13 starts with a 3.59 ERA and a 3.55 xFIP. He’s also averaging about 5 2/3 innings per outing, with the Tigers going 8-5 in those games.

Most importantly, however, is the fact Skubal has gotten back to his strikeout ways. In 2019 with the Double-A Erie SeaWolves, Skubal made nine starts, while striking out a ridiculous 17.29 batters per nine innings. He was having major issues missing major-league bats in April, but has punched out 11.27 batters per nine innings since that month ended.

The Kansas City Royals' offense is fairly disciplined, but it's also exceedingly average. Plus, the Royals have posted just a 92 wRC+ against southpaws.

That's why the Action Labs tool has Skubal projected at 6.5 strikeouts, giving creating loads of leverage on the over 4.5 total DraftKings is offering us.

Action Labs Grade: 9/10
