For all the talk of how the Wolves could have gotten a split or won both in Minnesota… they didn't. That doesn't necessarily mean that the Wolves will reverse the script in Dallas. The Mavericks are comfortable and confident, while the Wolves are tired from the Nuggets series and don't have the matchup answers they need. I'll lay the points with Dallas. Luka Dončić has thrived against the Timberwolves this season, with 30+ points in every game and averaging 34.5 points over four games. He’s stepped up his game against one of the league’s best defenses. The Wolves simply have had no answer for him and he has been able to eviscerate the defense regardless of the defensive coverage.

Dončić's rotations have been a bit different this series, with him playing roughly 40 minutes per game for an even split in both halves. However, it has been critical that he can be used as a closer for Dallas when Minnesota is most tired.

Pick: Luka Dončić Over 29.5 Points (Play to 30.5)

Dereck Lively II has scored at least nine points in each of his last four games. During that stretch, the Mavericks' big man is shooting 18-of-20 from the field and 10-of-12 from the charity stripe. Lively's recent production has forced head coach Jason Kidd to give him more minutes. He is closing every game while playing upwards of 30 minutes a night.

Our player prop tool projects Lively to score 10.3 points in Game 3. Similar to the Jaden McDaniels points prop in our Wolves vs Mavs Game 3 best player props, that projection makes Lively's alternative lines look enticing. Lively to record double-digit points is +130, while scoring 12+ points is +255. This is a positive matchup for Lively, who has been excellent during the Mavericks' playoff run.
