Heat vs. Pistons

Simone Fontecchio Over 17.5 Points + Rebounds

By Joe Dellera

The Pistons take on the Miami Heat on Sunday, and one player to target is a favorite of ours, Simone Fontecchio.

Fontecchio has torched Miami twice this season for 22 and 24 points since he was traded to Detroit. Even in the game he played against Miami with Utah, he scored 12 points but secured seven rebounds as well.

He frequently takes 3s, especially on catch-and-shoot opportunities, and those are exactly the type of shots that the Heat defense allows. Furthermore, Fontecchio can put the ball on the floor if needed and drive to the rack.

Fontecchio has averaged 20.1 Points + Rebounds over his last 10 games but has 25.8 against the Heat in four contests over the last two seasons, with 19+ in each of the four. His rebounding floor is fairly high with the potential for spikes in both scoring and rebounding.

I expect Fontecchio to exceed 17.5 PR.

Pick: Simone Fontecchio Over 17.5 Points + Rebounds

Nuggets vs. Mavericks

Aaron Gordon Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

By Joe Dellera

The Denver Nuggets head to Dallas to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

While Luka Doncic’s status is in flux as he is questionable with a hamstring injury, Denver should take care of business regardless.

One player to target in this matchup is Aaron Gordon. He has thrived against the Mavs while averaging 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists in three games over the last two seasons.

While Gordon may be tasked with guarding Doncic on the defensive end, Doncic’s movements may be slightly hampered if he’s dealing with a hamstring injury. The bigger issue with Doncic’s balky hamstring is that he will also cover Gordon, who is less of a shooting threat but can still generate offense in the dunker spot or on the pick-and-roll with Nikola Jokic.

Gordon’s ability to cut to the rack while also facilitating for others will make him a tough cover for Dallas today. I expect Gordon to continue his success against Dallas and exceed 22.5 PRA tonight.

Pick: Aaron Gordon Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Magic -12

By Andrew O'Connor-Watts

If you follow my plays in the Action app or on X (Twitter), then you know I absolutely love betting the Orlando Magic (queue the song). They've been a revelation this season, especially at home where they have the best record in the league (22-9 ATS).

Now they face a battered and broken Raptors team that is missing several key players in Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, and the list goes on. The Raptors haven’t won a game since March 3, they've covered just twice in that span, and I don't see them getting anywhere close to a win in Orlando.

It's a big spread, but it's a big spread for a reason. Play the Magic down to -13.5.

Pick: Magic -12

Nets vs. Spurs

Under 220

By Michael Fiddle

The Spurs will host the Nets on Sunday night in Austin, Texas.

When teams play in a new arena, there is a tendency for the game to trend toward the under because the arenas have different setups, thus depth perception is slightly altered, and shooting efficiency goes down.

We also know the Nets have not gone over 110 points in four contests, the Spurs have not done it in their last three. The league-wide trend of unders and fewer fouls will hurt these teams with low 3-point efficiency. I would play this line sub 219.

Pick: Under 220
