Bulls vs 76ers NBA Preview
Paul George is back in the lineup for the 76ers tonight after serving a 25-game suspension — and I'm going to back him right away at over 20.5 points & rebounds in tonight's matchup against the Bulls.
Maybe he doesn’t jump in and play 30 minutes per game right away like he was before — but at the same time, this has been a really nice opportunity for him to rest.
The biggest thing with George over the last few seasons is that he hasn’t been healthy — but since he’s been dealing with a suspension and he’s an older player, the rest could actually be a huge benefit for him.
Maybe he will be a little rusty in his first game back, but the 76ers have said he’s coming back without restrictions. So, he’s expected to be ready to go tonight.
Bulls vs 76ers Predictions, Betting Analysis
You can reasonably expect George to play around 25 minutes tonight — and when he’s played 25+ minutes this season, he’s been pretty solid. In those spots, he’s averaging 20.6 points & rebounds.
The matchup against Chicago is also a good one for him. George had 27 PR against them earlier this season, playing 35 minutes in that game.
The Bulls play at a fast pace, and we know their defense has been abysmal lately — especially from beyond the arc.
This sets up as a great opportunity for PG to come in and produce immediately. Whether Joel Embiid plays or not (he is listed as questionable), there should be plenty of usage available. Quentin Grimes is also on the injury report, which could open up even more opportunity.
So there’s a lot of volume potentially available for George in his return tonight. The Sixers need him right now; they are in the danger zone in the standings. If he gets going, I think they’ll let him play as much as he can handle.
Pick: Paul George Over 20.5 Points & Rebounds (-125)
