Suns vs Hornets NBA Preview
Low-key, this is one of the most important games on the slate today.
As the Hornets attempt to fight out of the play-in, they gained some ground with the Heat losing to the Celtics last night — as well as the Raptors flopping at home against the Kings.
The Hawks also defeated the Magic by nearly 30 points, which pushes Atlanta firmly into the 5-seed by more than a game now — but also gives Charlotte a window to ascend.
The Hornets are two games behind the 76ers and Raptors, who are tied for the 6-seed. Charlotte has a tiebreaker with Toronto, but lost the one to Philly.
Meanwhile, the Suns are basically locked into the 7-seed, which would give them a home play-in game. Phoenix is 4.5 games behind the Timberwolves for the 6-seed, and the Clippers are three games back in the 8-spot.
Mark Williams (foot) is questionable to play for Phoenix. Amir Coffey (ankle) and Haywood Highsmith (knee) are out. Two-way player PJ Hall (ankle) is also out for Charlotte.
Suns vs Hornets Predictions, Betting Analysis
My pick for tonight's game is LaMelo Ball to combine for over 26.5 points & assists. I'm buying low here after two Unders in blowouts.
I think we'll see a more competitive game tonight, with Ball likely logging 28-30 minutes as his floor — so, I'm going back to his Over.
Ball combined for over 26.5 points & assists in four straight and in 5-of-6 before his last two games — and in his Overs, he played less than 29 minutes just once.
He tallied 22 points and six assists against the Suns in Phoenix back in early March — and put up 19 shots in 33 minutes.
Pick: LaMelo Ball Over 26.5 Points & Assists (-106)
