Oklahoma vs Gonzaga College Basketball Betting Preview

Oklahoma Basketball

The Sooners opened their season with a comfortable 102-66 win over Saint Francis (PA).

Tonight, the Sooners will have one of their biggest tests on the road against this talented Gonzaga team.

Porter Moser begins year five at the helm for the Sooners, and this year is a crucial one.

Oklahoma went dancing for the first time since 2021 last season, but lost in the Round of 64. The Sooners have not won a March Madness game since 2021.

Freshman Kuol Atak was the star of the first game of the season with 18 points and a pair of rebounds. Veteran transfer Nigel Pack scored 16 points and dished out three assists in the win.

Saint Joseph’s transfer Xzayvier Brown dropped 16 points and a team-high six assists. Brown and Pack were huge additions for the Sooners in the transfer portal.

Gonzaga Basketball

Gonzaga opened its season with a 98-43 win over Texas Southern.

The Zags are once again a heavy favorite to win the WAC this season. Mark Few's team has won the conference eleven times since the 2013 season.

Gonzaga begins the season ranked 21st in the nation and feels it has a roster capable of making the Final Four.

Big man Graham Ike returns as the star of the team. Ike averaged 17.3 points and 7.3 rebounds last year. Junior Braden Huff returns for the Zags, and he scored 14 points in the team's season opener.

The Bulldogs improved their roster in the portal, adding guards Tyon Grant-Foster (Grand Canyon) and Adam Miller (Arizona).

Grant-Foster was granted a preliminary injunction after the NCAA initially denied him another year of eligibility.

Oklahoma vs. Gonzaga Betting Analysis

I love the over tonight in a game I expect to be played with a ton of pace.

Both teams have strong guard play, and the pace of this contest should favor the over.

Oklahoma proved they have four legitimate scorers, two of whom can create off the bounce in Brown and Pack.

As we know, Gonzaga is one of the best offensive teams in college basketball, and I expect their frontcourt of Huff and Ike to dominate the paint tonight.

My Pick: Over 163.5 (-110, bet365)| Play to 166.5
