The Tar Heels have had their fair share of woes on the road. All four of their losses have come away from home, and just three of their 16 wins have come outside of Chapel Hill.

However, they bucked this trend in convincing fashion, an 85-80 win over a stout Virginia team. Continuing it for the second straight Saturday is easier said than done, though.

The seven-day layoff between games could also factor into this matchup, as the normally potent Tar Heels face a Georgia Tech team that's better defensively than its record suggests.

The Yellow Jackets are 30th in effective field goal percentage allowed and are solid on the interior, which is where the likes of Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar thrive.

Don't be surprised if we see a sluggish start from the Tar Heels on the road in a matchup where they may need to create looks outside of their comfort zones.

On the other end of the floor, offensive inconsistency has plagued the Yellow Jackets in ACC play. Much like their counterparts in this matchup, Georgia Tech is a team that prefers to work the ball inside, as over 41% of its points have come from the paint this season.

However, the Yellow Jackets are just average inside the paint and have struggled mightily from the mid-range. These issues inside the arc are an immediate red flag, especially against a UNC frontcourt that has size all over the court.

The Tar Heels' length has made life tough on the inside for their opponents. As a result, they're fifth in 2-point field goal percentage allowed.

Georgia Tech hasn't shown us much to instill any confidence in it succeeding offensively in this matchup, and its turnover struggles will only amplify its issues in this one.

UNC vs. Georgia Tech Betting Analysis

On the surface, this matchup appears to be between a Tar Heels team that's very efficient offensively and a Georgia Tech squad that operates with tempo, but is less efficient.

However, a closer look shows that both teams are in line to struggle offensively, as they both have similar tendencies that will be contained.

The market quickly recognized this, as the total fell from an opening of 157.5 to 155.5 — our Action PRO Report tracked this sharp money hitting the Under immediately.

There's still plenty of value on the current total with a possible slow start from the Tar Heels.

My Pick: Under 155.5 (Play to 154.5)
