Both Arizona and Iowa State will be coming off a bye week for a showdown in Ames on Saturday.

The Cyclones entered the extra week needing time to heal injuries after kicking the season off in Dublin in Week 0.

The first quarter of the season may have produced an undefeated record, but Iowa State had plenty of red flags in multiple box scores.

The Cyclones were nearly doubled up in yards per play against Kansas State and allowed FCS South Dakota to average nearly six in Week 1. A one-possession victory on the road over Arkansas State showed a team that struggled into the off week.

After a tumultuous inaugural season, Arizona head coach Brent Brennan brings an undefeated record into Week 5.

Defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales' time as a Rocky Long protege is paying off in Tucson. The Wildcats rank top-10 defensively in Havoc, Stuff Rate and Finishing Drives.

Although the offense has yet to hit its stride in terms of Success Rate, Arizona has produced a top-10 number in rush explosives. Running back Ismail Mahdi and quarterback Noah Fifita have already recorded 13 rushing attempts that have gone 10 yards or more.

Despite a strength of schedule rank of 90th, Iowa State sits 72nd in defending rush explosives with its three-man front.

Action Network's betting power ratings project Arizona as a 3.5-point underdog, giving the current market value on the visitor.

Pick: Arizona +6 or Better
