The Apple Cup is the biggest game of the season for two schools in the Pacific Northwest.
Sure, Washington acts like the older brother and has a rivalry with Oregon, too, but there’s no doubt they want the Apple Cup back in their hands after relinquishing it last year for the first time since 2012.
This game was first played in 1900. Since then, these two teams have gone head-to-head 113 times with Washington leading the series 74-33-6.
Washington comes into this matchup with 9-2 record and 6-2 in the conference. The Huskies had a path to the Pac-12 Championship, but that door appears to be closing if Oregon beats Oregon State.
Washington State is 7-4 and 4-4 in the Pac-12. Head coach Jake Dickert has the program going in the right direction but they haven’t played like a team in the upper echelon of the Pac-12.
