Wofford vs Virginia Tech Pick, Betting Analysis

Virginia Tech is in complete shambles right now after three straight losses to South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Old Dominion to open the season.

Now Wofford comes to town and Virginia Tech is a massive, massive favorite. I would lay up to 37.5 in this spot on the Hokies.

Everyone knows Virginia Tech is a mess, as the offense has looked really wonky and the defense couldn't get Old Dominion off the field while allowing 45 points last week.

I still want to lay four touchdowns with the Hokies

Wofford is so bad at the FCS level, and it won't be able to compete in this spot.

The Terriers have only accumulated 181 rushing yards on 81 attempts (68 yards came on one play) in three total games. That works out to just 2.2 yards per carry.

Wofford can't run the football, and it can't protect the quarterback. The Terriers have rotated through a couple of quarterbacks and it hasn't worked well, as they have a 41% completion percentage and are 7-of-39 on third down.

Wofford is going to get buried in this spot.

Pick: Virginia Tech -35.5 (Play to -37.5)
