Bilingual sports betting is here.
DraftKings has just announced a major update that is sure to please many of its users.
They have introduced a Spanish-language feature within their DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino app. This new update is a big step in their ongoing mission to provide personalized experiences for all their customers.
Corey Gottlieb, the Chief Product Officer at DraftKings, shared some insights about this new feature. He explained that many of DraftKings' users speak Spanish.
By adding this language option, the company aims to make the app more user-friendly for them. "We want everyone to have the best possible experience," Gottlieb said.
Who Can Use the DraftKings Spanish-language Feature?
To start, this Spanish-language feature will be available to a select group of users in the U.S. and Ontario. But don't worry if you don't see it yet; it will be available to all users soon. If your phone is set to Spanish, the app will automatically switch to Spanish once you update it. This makes it easy for users to enjoy the app without any hassle.
The new language feature will soon be seen throughout the whole app. This includes everything from signing up, navigating the app, placing bets, playing games, exploring promotions, to accessing customer support and resources on responsible gaming.
If you're curious about this update and want to try it out, you can download the DraftKings app on your iPhone or Android device.
DraftKings Also Preparing for Missouri Sports Betting Launch
While DraftKings is working on this language update, they're also preparing for the launch of sports betting in Missouri.
Missouri sports betting will be allowed on December 1, the same day the app will go live.
Earlier this year, the Missouri Gaming Commission gave DraftKings a special license, allowing them to operate without needing to partner with local casinos or sports teams—something known as an "untethered" license. This is unique because DraftKings can work independently across Missouri, giving them more freedom and reducing their operating costs.

DraftKings is already an official partner with Missouri's most popular sports teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Blues.
Their upcoming launch in Missouri adds to DraftKings' reach, as they already operate in 28 other U.S. states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Ontario, Canada.
DraftKings Makes Strategic Moves to Transform Sports Entertainment
DraftKings is also making big waves in the sports entertainment world with some additional, eye-opening, strategic decisions.
The company recently signed a multi-year deal with NBCUniversal. This deal gives DraftKings exclusive advertising opportunities and digital sponsorships on NBCUniversal's sports platforms, which broadcast some of the most popular national sports events. This partnership means DraftKings can reach even more sports fans across the country.
While all this is happening, DraftKings, along with its rival FanDuel, made headlines by choosing to leave the American Gaming Association (AGA). This decision was influenced by Nevada's strict gaming regulations, which don't allow betting on prediction markets for sports or entertainment events.
These strategic moves show that DraftKings is ready to reshape the sports entertainment landscape, reaching out to a broader audience and adapting to industry changes.
