The launch of Missouri sports betting is right around the corner, and DraftKings is set to unveil its mobile sportsbook app in The Show-Me State on December 1.
Earlier this year, the Missouri Gaming Commission granted DraftKings a special temporary license, allowing it to operate without the need for partnerships with local casinos or sports teams.
DraftKings holds one of only two direct mobile sports betting licenses from the Commission.
This unique “untethered” license means they can run their online sportsbook throughout Missouri independently, without teaming up with local casinos or sports teams.
This setup provides DraftKings with more freedom in the market and helps reduce costs. Additionally, DraftKings is an official sports betting partner of the Kansas City Chiefs and has also partnered with the St. Louis Blues. DraftKings announcement comes just days after the Gaming Commission revealed record casino revenue figures ahead of the sports betting launch.
Missouri will be the 29th U.S. state where DraftKings offers sports betting, adding to its presence in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Ontario, Canada.
Missouri Sports Betting Starts December 1
Starting December 1, eligible sports bettors in Missouri can enjoy a variety of betting options and betting promos through DraftKings.
This includes same-game parlays, in-game bets, and special odds boosts. DraftKings is committed to responsible gaming and offers tools like My Stat Sheet and My Budget Builder to help users keep track of their activity and set spending limits.
Greg Karamitis, DraftKings’ Chief Revenue Officer, expressed excitement about entering Missouri. “With its rich sports culture and several professional teams, we’re thrilled to bring our top-rated sportsbook to Missouri,” he said. Just in time for the NFL, NBA, NHL, college football, and basketball seasons, DraftKings aims to enhance the sports experience for fans while prioritizing responsible gaming.
To celebrate the launch, DraftKings will hold a special event on December 1 at The Palladium in St. Louis.
Missouri sports legends Tony Gonzalez, Isaac Bruce, and Brett Hull will be there to place the ceremonial first bets. Missouri House Speaker Jonathan Patterson will also give a speech.
With Missouri being home to several professional sports teams, fans will be able to bet on NFL, NBA, MLB, and NCAA games, including the Missouri Tigers.

DraftKings Giving Back in Missouri
Not only is DraftKings bringing its sportsbook to Missouri, but it’s also giving back to the community.
They are donating $50,000 to the Veterans Community Project, a nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness in Missouri. The donation will support their Tiny Homes initiative, providing transitional housing and services for veterans moving toward independent living.
Starting December 1, eligible customers in Missouri can join the action by downloading the DraftKings Sportsbook app, available on iOS and Android.
