Tampa Bay is 0-4 and playing without its starting quarterback. Baker Mayfield is out with a dislocated thumb, so Jalon Daniels makes his second career start. He threw for 148 yards and a touchdown in last week's 17-14 loss to Green Bay, ran for 55 more, and threw two first-half interceptions. Dak Prescott has 1,065 passing yards, eight touchdowns and a 105.0 passer rating, CeeDee Lamb leads the NFL with 37 catches and 498 yards, and Javonte Williams has six rushing touchdowns, three of them last week.
The Cowboys' defense is the problem. It ranks 29th in points allowed at 28.0 per game, is last in yards allowed per play, and has four sacks and no interceptions through four games. Dallas has also given up a league-high 188 rushing yards to quarterbacks, which matters against a rookie who ran for 55 yards in his first start.
Tampa Bay's defense is the one thing keeping it in games. The Bucs rank fourth in total defense and third against the run, allowing 78.5 rushing yards per game. That's why the margin markets are tighter than the 80¢ winner price suggests.
