The pace of this contest should favor the under.

I expect Kansas City to control the tempo early considering it enters this game as an 11.5-point favorite, building a lead that allows them to lean on the run game and drain the clock in the second half.

The Chiefs defense has been excellent this season, holding opponents to an average of 17.7 points per game — third best in the NFL.

Washington, meanwhile, will start backup quarterback Marcus Mariota with Jayden Daniels injured, which only adds to their offensive challenges. Mariota and the Commanders are likely to struggle sustaining drives and putting points on the board.

Washington will welcome back its top target, Terry McLaurin, tonight.

The former Ohio State Buckeye will need to step up if the Commanders hope to keep pace with Kansas City.

The expected game script should favor this prop, as Washington is likely to be playing from behind for much of the night, forcing them to air it out and give McLaurin plenty of opportunities to surpass 40 receiving yards.

McLaurin has played in just three games this season, but he's topped 40 yards in two of those contests.
