The Chiefs backfield is a mess with neither Kareem Hunt nor Isiah Pacheco managing to run away with the job. Hunt and Pacheco have the same, or similar, rushing lines this week, but we’re taking the Over on the more experienced player.

They’ve had a similar amount of carries in recent weeks, with identical numbers in Weeks 3 and 5, and Hunt having the edge in Week 4.

Hunt looks the most dangerous with the ball in his hands; he was excellent on the ground against the Jaguars last time out, averaging seven yards per carry on his seven rushing attempts and finding the end zone twice.

The Lions are good against the run and have averaged just 92.2 rushing yards allowed per game, the seventh fewest in the league, but Hunt should be able to cover a modest total, especially with his two-TD performance fresh in the minds of the coaching staff.

Pick: Kareem Hunt Over 29.5 Rushing Yards (-112)

Xavier Worthy Over 5.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

Speaking of the Chiefs' ground game, we’re also taking Xavier Worthy to have over 5.5 rushing yards.

It’s a number that he’s exceeded in two of three games this season. Since returning from injury in Week 4, he’s had three rushing attempts and racked up 47 yards.

In those two games, he’s also had 17 targets; it’s clear that Matt Nagy wants to get the ball into the young playmaker's hands as often as possible.

Worthy is never going to tally a ton of carries, but he’s quick and dynamic enough to be effective at picking up yardage when he does get handed the football.

He’s averaging 11.8 yards per carry and you’d have to think that he has a chance to cover this number tonight.

Pick: Xavier Worthy Over 5.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

Tyquan Thornton Over 1.5 Receptions (-121)

The Chiefs get Rashee Rice back next week, which will be great news for their offense but bad news for several wideouts who’ll see their target share eaten into, with Tyquan Thornton being one of those players.

The former Patriot has actually looked good in a Chiefs uniform and has 13 catches this season, finding the end zone three times.

His reception line stands at 1.5 and that’s a number he’s covered in four of five games this season.

With 25 targets this season, including five last week, we can be confident that he should at least get the opportunity to make two catches.

The Lions aren’t bad against the pass, but they are giving up an average of 11 receptions per game to wideouts.

Pick: Tyquan Thornton Over 1.5 Receptions (-121)

Sam LaPorta Under 46.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

For our final prop play tonight, we’re backing Sam LaPorta under 46.5 receiving yards.

The bad news is that LaPorta comes into this game following his best game of the year so far, with 92 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals.

The good news for under bettors is that the Chiefs defense is significantly better than the Bengals defense and has given up just 164 yards to tight ends this season, the third fewest of any team with five games, at an average of 32.8 per game.

LaPorta always has the potential to go nuclear and have a big game, but with the Chiefs' record against TEs, it feels unlikely to be this game.

Not only that, but LaPorta’s numbers haven’t been huge this season, covering the 46.5 line just twice in three games and having under 40 yards in three of the previous four weeks.

Pick: Sam LaPorta Under 46.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
