Chargers vs Dolphins NFL Week 6 Preview
Injuries to the Chargers' offensive line and running backs have caused their offense to crater over the last few weeks. On the flip side, the Dolphins can't generate any pressure on defense and they’re blitzing often to compensate.
That’s generally not something you want to do against Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, but you have to do what you have to do, and the Chargers can't block anybody at the moment.
The Chargers are short-handed at the guard and tackle positions, and their running back situation is in complete disarray following injuries to Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton, the latter of which landed on injured reserve due to an ankle injury.
The current circumstances are bound to make the Chargers play conservatively to protect Herbert and try to rely on the run game, even without their top two running backs.
As for Miami, there's no saving grace for the Dolphins offense in the absence of Tyreek Hill. Their offensive line is really struggling, and I only expect things to get worse moving forward.
Chargers vs Dolphins Prediction, Betting Analysis
I don't see a path to how the Dolphins are going to move the ball consistently and score points.
The Dolphins have already showed us what their offense looks like with Tyreek Hill sidelined, and it's the perfect matchup for the Chargers defense.
Tua Tagovailoa leads the league in EPA per play against man coverage. However, he ranks 30th against zone, and he’s going to see a lot of zone against the Chargers this week.
Pick: Under 43.5 (-110)
