Thursday Night Football kicks off Week 6 with a prime-time clash as the Seattle Seahawks (3-2) take on the Denver Broncos (3-2) at Empower Field. Both teams enter sitting in second place in their respective divisions and are eager to stay within striking distance of the top, but to achieve that, they need to cap off Thursday night with a strong result.

Before we jump into tonight's game breakdown, don't forget to use our Kalshi promo code and download the Action Network App to get the best NFL picks. Now, let's get into it.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos Preview

The defending champions enter as 2.5-point road favorites, leaning on one of the league's most prolific passing attacks averaging 8.1 yards per attempt behind Geno Smith and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. On Kalshi, they lead the board with a 56% implied probability, a narrow margin, but one that has remained consistent.

What’s interesting is that the Seahawks travel to Empower Field at Mile High following a tough division loss to San Francisco, relying on a defense that pressures opposing quarterbacks and forces early mistakes. Meanwhile, Sean Payton’s Broncos hope to capitalize on their home-field advantage in Denver, though their offense continues to struggle with consistency and sluggish starts.

With the total line hovering around a low 40.5 points, traders anticipate a defensive battle where red-zone efficiency and turnover margin will ultimately decide the night.

While I agree that the Seahawks come in with superior overall operational structure and have re-established their contender status, the reality is that the moneyline in this matchup is far too volatile to take a position with any high degree of confidence.

A Low-Scoring, Physical Battle?

The central narrative of this game lies squarely on the defensive side of the ball for both squads.

Denver’s pass rush will test Seattle's offensive line protection, forcing tough decisions in obvious passing situations. At the same time, Seattle’s defensive front presents a formidable challenge for Bo Nix, whose pass catchers may struggle to gain separation against tight coverage, likely forcing him to extend plays with his legs or check down.

Given the short week, travel altitude, and sluggish early-game execution, expect a low-scoring battle dictated by field position, an explosive shootout is totally out of the question. In this context, targeting the Under on 40.5 or even 39.5 points in the Totals market stands out as the best option. With shares trading at 46 cents, the 39.5 line carries slightly more risk, but the entry price is simply too attractive to pass up.

What About the Players?

As I said before, a player to keep an eye on tonight is Bo Nix. Heavy defensive line pressure from Seattle will limit clean pockets, forcing shorter drives and scrambles rather than sustained passing. Grabbing No shares on Nix reaching 21+ completed passes sounds like a solid take.

At the same time, taking No shares on 200+ or even 175+ passing yards seems logical, as Seattle’s secondary ranks near the top of the league in suppressing explosive plays while Denver's passing attack continues to stay relatively conservative. In that context, Nix is unlikely to hit deep shots.

When it comes to the Seahawks, there are several intriguing players to trade tonight, but at the risk of stating the obvious, the best play is to focus on Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Grabbing Yes shares on 90+ receiving yards is a great choice. He enters Week 6 leading the NFL in receiving yards (583 yards across five games), having cleared the 100-yard mark in four of his five starts.
