I love this bounce-back spot at home for the Texans tonight.
In Week 1, Houston was limited to nine points on the road against the Rams. However, the Texans struggled to protect C.J. Stroud due to Ed Ingram's absence.
Ingram will slide back into the Texans' lineup tonight, resetting their offensive line for the better. I expect Stroud to pick apart this Buccaneers defense tonight.
Tampa Bay snuck a win out in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. Despite the win, I was not impressed with the Bucs offense, which looked out of sorts for most of the game.
Tampa will also be without one of its best offensive linemen in Tristan Wirfs.
This dynamic Texans defense will get pressure on Mayfield and force multiple negative plays and turnovers tonight.
Baker Mayfield Over 20.5 Completions
I will team up with our Action Pro Report for this prop.
The former Oklahoma standout should have the necessary game script needed to exceed this number tonight, as I expect Tampa Bay to play most of the game from behind. The Texans enter this game as 2.5-point favorites.
Mayfield could forced to throw 35-40 times in a trailing game script — he exceeded 20.5 completions in 13-of-17 games last year.
