In Chelsea's last meeting with Malmö two weeks ago, the Blues absolutely thrashed their Swedish opponents.

It was pure dominance from the start, with Chelsea playing the type of game you want to see from a heavy favorite in the Champions League. No messing around; just business.

So, there’s no reason to believe the ruthless displays from Chelsea will stop now. The Blues are playing incredibly compact and sturdy defense, highlighted by a 2.63-0.07 xG total derived from Malmö‘s visit to London. Chelsea has conceded just two goals in its past seven games, and I expect that to hold when the Blues hit the road.

While getting on a spread such as -2 could be a wise play, it's my job to help us get creative, and this is a bet that offers value and uniqueness. This bet would have cashed in three of Chelsea's last five games, and with the form that its in, this strikes me as a very appealing opportunity.

Bayern Munich vs. Benfica

The PickBayern — Under 2.5 Goals (+130)

Bayern tends to score a lot of goals. The German powerhouse has scored 18 in its last five games, but the 12 goals it has scored in UCL play through three games is far outperforming Bayern's expected-goals number.

Though the attack is prolific, the Bavarians have amassed 2.31 xG per game, meaning their goals scored number should be closer to seven rather than a number nearly double that total.

On the other hand, Benfica has been fairly sound defensively, conceding four goals through three games with an appropriate 1.17 xGA average. Bayern's 4-0 win against Benfica in the reverse tie was deserved, but a bit fortunate, and I believe a slight regression to the mean is coming here.

The Portuguese side could really use a result in this contest, so a defensive set up is likely. Benfica will have to play on the counterattack, so a strong defensive showing could lead to the securing of one or three points on the day.

Back Benfica to compete well in its defensive third.

This is a price that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Atalanta has had more corners than its opponent in two of its last five games, including the comeback defeat it suffered against Manchester United.

United was absolutely crushed in terms of corners against Tottenham Hotspur, but it didn't matter for the Red Devils in their victory. Of course, corners can be random in many spots, but United has won the corner matchup in three of its past five games, and in two of those it had a solid edge in possession.

One of those occasions was against Atalanta, when United was able to turn on the gas pedal and play a completely different game after seemingly flipping a switch.
