The USMNT really needs to be careful of Bosnia. This isn’t an attractive side, and they won’t win many fans with their brand of soccer, but they work hard and are more than capable of frustrating any opponent.

They were underdogs against both Wales and Italy in the playoffs to reach the World Cup and upset both. They also upset Canada in the opener, with that game finishing level.

However, their only win came against a Qatar team that lacks talent. The USMNT is far superior in both quality and athleticism, which will be the key factor here.

Bosnia aren’t blessed with pace, and their central defensive duo of Nikola Katic and Stjepan Radeljic isn't quick, even if they're strong and physical.

Katic, in particular, is somebody the USA can attack. He's a no-nonsense player, but it gets him in trouble. He has only been booked once so far, but in those two knockout playoff games to reach the World Cup, he averaged 3.5 fouls per game.

The Bosnians will be tough to break down, and they’ll sit back, soaking up pressure in their 4-4-2, looking to hit the USMNT on the counter.

My biggest worry with the U.S. is how the defense, more specifically Tim Ream, will deal with the extreme pace. But fortunately, that shouldn’t be an issue here, and having Antonee Robinson and Chris Richards on either side will be enough.

I’m expecting Bosnia to be tough to break down, but this is a USMNT that looks comfortable on the ball and following Mauricio Pochettino’s instructions.

The USA has the confidence to unlock Bosnia without getting frustrated. This won’t be a rout, but once they open the scoring, they should be able to get another — or more — in what should end up being a comfortable win for the USMNT.

Pick: USA -1.5 (+110)

USA Over 1.5 Goals (-189)

By Action Network Staff

The primary USA vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina pick is centered on the host nation's offensive firepower.

The U.S. scored eight goals across their three group stage matches, netting at least two in every single game. This offensive consistency isn't a fluke; they generated these eight goals from an expected goals (xG) figure of 4.62, showing a clinical edge in front of the net.

Furthermore, Mauricio Pochettino’s squad has scored more than one goal in eight of their last 10 international fixtures.

On the other side, Bosnia and Herzegovina has struggled defensively.

They have managed just one clean sheet in their last 11 games and conceded six goals during the group stage. Four of those goals came in a lopsided defeat to Switzerland, highlighting their difficulties against higher-caliber opponents.

With the USA resting key players in their final group game against Turkiye, their main attackers will be fresh and ready to exploit a defense that has allowed 14 shots on target so far in the competition.

Pick: USA Over 1.5 Goals (-189)

Christian Pulisic Anytime Goal Scorer (+135)

By Carlos Avilan

Christian Pulisic will be back in the starting lineup and will be hoping to score his first goal of the 2026 World Cup.

With Pulisic fully fit, the United States trashed Paraguay, 4-1, in their debut match, so hopefully the team can regain that form in this Round of 32 matchup against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Pulisic has one goal and three assists in six career World Cup games. Overall, he has scored 33 times in 88 matches for the USMNT.

Let's back him to score another one here.

Pick: Christian Pulisic Anytime Goal Scorer (+135)

Both Teams to Score: Yes (+110)

By Action Network Staff

While the U.S. offense is the main story, there's also value in the "Both Teams to Score" market.

Bosnia and Herzegovina have found the back of the net in all three of their group games, including against fellow host nation Canada.

They've been remarkably efficient, scoring five goals from a meager 1.87 xG. This suggests they're capable of converting low-probability chances.

The USA has conceded four goals in three games, and the trend for both teams has been goals. Eleven of Bosnia’s last 12 matches have seen both sides score, as have 13 of the last 17 for the United States.

Pick: Both Teams to Score: Yes (+110)
