Update: Cordarrelle Patterson has been officially ruled out of the Falcons’ showdown with the Patriots on Thursday Night Football. Go to our expert’s latest fantasy football rankings for Mike Davis and Wayne Gallman.
Fantasy football managers may have a decision to make in regards to Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson.
Patterson is considered a game-time decision on Thursday Night Football against the New England Patriots with an ankle injury. The all-purpose back was a limited participant on practice Tuesday and Wednesday, and the short week won’t help.
Patterson has amassed the ninth-most points for running backs in ESPN standard scoring leagues. He’s 10th in non-PPR leagues. That’s a major hole for fantasy managers to fill should he miss Thursday night’s game.
If Patterson is ruled out, running backs Mike Davis and Wayne Gallman figure to get the snaps in his place. Neither is as versatile as Patterson, but each player has had his moments in the NFL.
Davis entered the year as the presumed starter before Patterson fully broke out. Gallman torched the Seahawks last season for 135 yards on 16 carries with the New York Giants.
