PropBetGuy’s Saturday NBA Player Props: Gamescript Concerns for Cole Anthony

After a blistering start to his sophomore campaign, Anthony has slowed down of late. Over his last 24 games, the Magic point guard is averaging 25.4 PRA, staying under this line 15 times.

While the Magic will be without Wendell Carter tonight, and Jalen Suggs is questionable, Markelle Fultz will be suiting up. As Orlando works him back into game shape, his presence will shift Anthony into more of an off-ball roll when the two share the floor.

Plus, we have two very favorable splits working in our favor with this matchup. Anthony has not performed as well against the league’s top defenses. In fact, versus teams ranking in the top 12, Anthony’s season PRA average plummets to 25.7. The Grizzlies rank eighth defensively.

Tthe UNC product has also not performed well on zero days rest this season. On the back-end of back-to-backs, Anthony averages 24.1 PRA on 34% shooting.

With the 16-point spread, there will be major gamescript concerns for the Magic, which could limit Anthony’s minutes. I have the point guard projected at around 25 PRA tonight.
