Practice rounds have officially begun at Augusta National Golf Club, signaling the start of the 2026 Masters Tournament.

The world’s top golfers are adjusting to Augusta National’s unique conditions and are just days away from competing for the coveted green jacket.

The goal of each is player is to shoot the lowest round score they can, which has now become a popular market on Kalshi, one of the industry's leading prediction market apps. Check out the grid below to see what scores people are predicting:

Predicting the Lowest Round Score at the 2026 Masters

According to the Kalshi market, 74% of predictors believe someone will shoot under 65.5. Additionally, 33% of traders believe the lowest one-round score will go under 64.5.

Historically, some of the lowest one-round scores at Augusta are:

  • Nick Price (1986): 63
  • Greg Norman (1996): 63
Based on these scores and the advancements in golf clubs, technology, and the overall skills of today's top golfers, there's a possibility someone could break the 64.5 mark this year.

At the 2025 Masters, the lowest one-round scores were:

  • Justin Rose: 65
  • Rory McIlroy: 66
  • Justin Rose: 66 
  • Zach Johnson: 66

Market Rules on Kalshi for Lowest Score

If any golfer posts a round score of 65.5 or fewer in any round of the 2026 Masters Tournament, the market will resolve as Yes.

To qualify, a golfer must complete all 18 holes, and the round must be an official regulation round.
