Travelers Championship Withdrawals & Updated Odds: Brooks Koepka Out After Caddie Tests Positive for COVID-19

Last week, Nick Watney tested positive for COVID-19 and subsequently withdrew from the PGA TOUR's RBC Heritage tournament. This week for the Travelers Championship, the number of golfers forced to withdraw has grown larger.

The current list of golfers who have already withdrawn include:

• Brooks Koepka
• Webb Simpson
• Graeme McDowell
• Cameron Champ
• Nate Lashley
• Steve Stricker
• Chase Koepka

Of those, only Champ himself tested positive for COVID-19. Brooks Koepka and McDowell both withdrew after their caddies tested positive Wednesday. Chase Koepka and Webb Simpson both withdrew out of an "abundance of caution."

Stricker and Lashley both bowed out earlier in the week, and the reason hasn't been reported; it's likely it's not due to the coronavirus.

Brooks Koepka, the world's No. 4 ranked golfer, is definitely a large enough absence to significantly shift the odds this week. He was 20-1 to win, and without him most of the top golfers have seen their odds increase:

• Rory McIlroy: 12-1 Monday, 10-1 today
• Justin Thomas: 12-1 Monday, 11-1 today
• Bryson DeChambeau: 13-1 Monday, 11-1 today
• Jon Rahm: 20-1 Monday, 18-1 today
