Race No. 4: Filly and Mare Sprint
Post time: 2:55 p.m. ET
Playing the No. 9 Spiced Perfection (4-1) across the board (Win/Place/Show) and pairing her with the No. 4 Come Dancing (5-2) in an exacta box.
I will be using the favorite No. 1 Covfefe (2-1) in multi-race wagers, as Race 4 begins the early Pick 4 sequence.
Race No. 5: The Turf Sprint
Post Time: 3:33 p.m. ET, NBCSN
This is the most wide-open race of the entire weekend.
I’m only making a nominal Win/Place/Show investment on the Jason Servis-trained No. 4 Shekky Shebaz (12-1).
As you can see above, I’ll be spreading in the Pick 4, also using the No. 1 Totally Boss (5-1), No. 2 Pure Sensation (5-1), No. 3 Imprimis (8-1), No. 7 Leinster (8-1), No. 9 Final Frontier (6-1), No. 10 Eddie Haskell (9-2), No. 11 Om (15-1) and No. 12 Belvoir Bay (12-1).
Race No. 6: The Dirt Mile
4:10 p.m. ET, NBCSN
Utilizing the No. 4 Mr. Money (6-1) and No. 5 Omaha Beach (8-5) in multi-race wagers, including our first Daily Double and Pick 3 of the day, and the middle Pick 4.
I’m also going to pair them in an exacta box.
Additionally, I used the No. 9 Diamond Oops (15-1) in a trifecta key over my two win contenders, the No. 2 Improbable (3-1), and the No. 3 Spun to Run (6-1
Race No. 7: The Maker’s Mark Filly and Mare Turf
4:54 p.m. ET, NBCSN
Singling the favorite No. 2 Sistercharlie (8-5), in multis, which completes our Pick 4 sequence and first Daily Double, while continuing the Pick 3 and Pick 4 from Race 6.
I’ll also be playing Sistercharlie across the board, and using her to begin another Daily Double.
And I put her on top of a trifecta, ahead of the No. 3 Fleeting (6-1), No. 8 Castle Lady (15-1), No. 9 Villa Marina (8-1) and No. 12 Fanny Logan (15-1) in
Race No. 8: Sprint
5:36 p.m. ET, NBCSN
I will complete the Pick 3 from Race 6, my Double from Race 7, and begin the late Pick 5 with my favorite horse, the No. 4 Mitole (9-5). He is an absolute freak, and the best horse going in perhaps the best race of the weekend.
I’ll also be betting Mitole across the board, and might have a sizable win wager by post time depending on his odds.
Race No. 9: The TVG Mile
6:20 p.m. ET, NBCSN
Another wide-open race on this card, I spread between a few of the top contenders in both the Pick 5 and to begin the late Pick 4.
I used the No. 6 Got Stormy (7-2), No. 9 Circus Maximus (3-1), No. 10 Without Parole (20-1), No. 11 Uni (7/2) and No. 13 Hey Gaman (12-1), and would consider betting the No. 6 to win at 4-1 or better.
Race No. 10: The Longines Distaff
7 p.m. ET, NBCSN
Singling the No. 4 Midnight Bisou (6-5) in multi-race wagers, while also betting her across the board.
I like the No. 7 Secret Spice (10-1) to hit the board and bet her to place and show.
I also used singled her in the second and third spots of a trifecta, alternatively, against the No. 1 Paradise Woods (5-1), No. 3 Street Band (10-1), No. 5 Dunbar Road (6-1), and No. 9 Serengeti Empress (12-1) – with Midnight Bisou on top.
Race No. 11: The Longines Turf
7:40 p.m. ET, NBCSN
Singling the No. 9 Bricks and Mortar (9-5), in multi-race wagers, and to begin a Daily Double to close out the day.
I also like the No. 3 United (20-1) and bet him across the board, beneath Bricks and Mortar in an exacta.
Race No. 12: The Breeders’ Cup Classic
8:44 p.m. ET, NBC
However, I had to include the No. 8 McKinzie (3-1) in some, but not all of my multi-race tickets. That consists of the late Pick 4 and Pick 5, where I also used the No. 6 Elate (6-1), who is running against the boys for the first time.
I used my top three win contenders, the No. 5 Yoshida (8-1), No. 10 Vino Rosso (4-1) and No. 11 Code of Honor (4-1) in an exacta box. And I also used that trio to finish off my Double with Race 11.
To keep my exotic tickets less costly, I’ll look to single Code of Honor and Yoshida to hit the board within my Trifectas and Superfectas while mixing the remaining horses I have listed, the No. 3 Owendale (15-1), and the No. 7 Higher Power (6-1) around them.
