I can understand why this total is at 9 given this game is at Great American Ballpark, but I actually respect both starting pitchers. Eury Perez has a 4.50 ERA but a 3.02 xERA. His strikeout rate is down to just 22.6% this season compared to his 27.6% career rate, and he's walking 11.8% of batters, but he's allowed just 1 home run so far through 22 innings. I'm looking for him to continue limiting the long ball here. Behind him is a rested bullpen too on a Marlins team that has been fantastic on the road this season. Nick Martinez and his 4.20 ERA isn't anything special, but he limits walks (5.1% BB%) and that's what I like about him. Martinez has actually pitched better too at home this season (3.42 ERA at home vs 4.89 ERA on the road).
