Spencer Jones making his debut against Jacob Misiorowski has to be part of some hazing ritual or a cruel joke. Jones is likely going to be a very high K% hitter early in his career and now has to face arguably the best strikeout artist in baseball right now, who also happens to strike out LHB at a 16% higher rate. I’m projecting Jones closer to -135 to strike out in his first plate appearance, which has to be one of the highest prices I’ve projected in quite some time. Honestly gives me flashbacks to when I had to project NL pitchers hitting for themselves back in the day lol.

The Yankees made the mistake to stack 7 LHB against him today as he has reverse splits and actually Ks LHB at a 16%+ higher rate so far. It’s also a high K lineup with Spencer Jones having a 57%(!!!) chance to K his first PA. Have this closer to -170

The Miz has struggled with walks allowing a high 3.98 BB/9 in his short career. Judge comes into this game swinging a hot bat hitting HRs in 3/L5 games & walking in 5/L7. He’s hit extremely well against the Brewers & they’ve even pitched him carefully. He’s walked in 12/L14 vs MIL. Expecting him to walk at least once here. With how well NYY hits RHP there’s a good chance Judge sees 5+ PAs tonight too.
