  • Monday's MLB slate may only feature six games, but there's still ample betting value on the board in the player props market.
  • The Action Labs Player Prop tool has identified two strikeout totals worth betting on Monday evening, and Collin Whitchurch breaks down both of them.
  • Find his full analysis for each of tonight's top MLB player props below, including which sportsbooks are offering the best odds for each player prop bet.

With one morning game and one game postponed in Oakland, we are left with just six games on the MLB slate this evening. The reduced slate of games limits our pool of potential prop bets. Still, there are wins to be found.

I will be evaluating my favorite MLB player props based on what the Action Labs Player Prop tool likes. The tool grades each bet on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best possible grade.

Below, I have laid out two prop bets that I'm playing, the case for each bet and the best books to find odds on those player props.

MLB Player Props & Picks

Joe Musgrove Under 7.5 Strikeouts (+112)

Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Diego PadresSan Diego -156

Best BookDraftKings

Musgrove has gone over 7.5 strikeouts in two of his three starts this season, punching out eight in his season debut and 10 in his no-hitter. In his last time out, he struck out six batters, but he also only lasted four innings.

Thus, we're getting good value on the under here, as I think his total is overinflated based on his early-season performance. Musgrove's first three starts have come against the Diamondbacks, Rangers and Pirates — three of the worst offenses in baseball.

The Brewers have not been tearing the cover off the ball by any means. Nonetheless, Milwaukee is arguably due for some positive regression from hitters like Keston Hiura, Lorenzo Cain and Kolten Wong, all of whom have been struggling considerably.

Musgrove has been a strikeout machine since the end of last season, but a step up in competition will likely temper his number. This is going to be a tight one, but our Action Labs Player Prop tool projects Musgrove at 5.5 strikeouts tonight, so we're getting good value with the under here at plus money.

Dylan Bundy Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+125)

Texas Rangers vs. Los Angeles AngelsLos Angeles -225
Time 10:10 p.m. ET
Best BookDraftKings

Bundy's strikeout totals in three starts this season: 6, 10 and 6.

The difference between the 10 and the two sixes is that Bundy was allowed to rack up a higher pitch count in the former. He should be allowed to do so again tonight as he faces the subpar Rangers, who have the second-highest strikeout percentage (K%) in baseball.

The only risk here is that the Angels are coming into this game well-rested after games on Saturday and Sunday were postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Minnesota Twins' organization. Because of this, Joe Maddon may be more winning to pull Bundy early with a rested bullpen, whether it's a blowout or a tight game.

Still, the Rangers are really bad offensively, and Bundy has a proven track record of missing bats over the last two season. At +125, he gives us a good opportunity to cash.
