Magic vs Hawks NBA Preview
These are the two hottest teams in the Eastern Conference right now.
Coming into tonight, the Magic have won seven straight games and are quietly up to fifth in the Eastern Conference standings, just two games behind the Cavaliers, who lost at home to the Mavericks yesterday.
The Hawks, now with a record of 36-31, are ninth in the conference and half-a-game out of the eighth seed, as well as two games behind the Raptors, who hold the more coveted sixth spot.
Atlanta has won nine straight games, good for the longest winning streak in the NBA right now.
For Atlanta, Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is questionable.
For Orlando, Franz Wagner (ankle) remains out, as well as Anthony Black (abdomen) and Jonathan Isaac (knee). Jett Howard (illness) is questionable.
Magic vs Hawks Predictions, Betting Analysis
During their winning streak, the Hawks have beaten only one possible playoff team, and that was the 76ers, who were without Joel Embiid, Paul George, and VJ Edgecombe in that game.
All but one of those nine wins came at home, and this is the first time the Hawks will face a team that is legitimately good — or at least on a good run — entering a contest.
The Magic's seven wins are much more credible, and Paolo Banchero is playing his most consistently impactful hoops of the season, even with Franz Wagner and Anthony Black out.
Of those seven wins, the Magic throttled Minnesota by nearly 30 points on the road, beat the Cavaliers at home, and held off the Heat again on the road.
Pick: Magic Moneyline (+125)
